front brake question 99 softail
I have a 99 heritage softail. Me and a friend were changing the front tire yday and when we were putting it back togather the outer brake pad fell out. My buddy said he got it back in there. Well, when I took her out for the test ride the front brake had a rattling, bumping noise. Both bolts were tight. I got her back and took her back apart. Ok, the inner pad has a bolt thru from the center of the wheel side. Does that clip supposed to hold the outer pad only or does it supposed to hold both pads. I know this is a simple question to someone that does this all of the time, but I didnt see how it came apart. Thanks!
