Default Dunlop tire question.

I just had new tires put on the bike and I got it home and started washing it up. Here is the problem, I noticed the tread on both tires go the same direction but the arrow that says "rotation" on the tires go in opposite directions. WTF!?! No I know that I want the tread going in the right damn direction but is this going to cause issues with the belts and possible tire failure?

I have to take the bike back in on Monday to have them check it out but I am curious if anyone else has ever had this issue.

You didn't mention what model Dunlops nor the model of bike... Dunlop had some issues on the 407s/408s on Touring models which resulted in different tread patterns. However, if both rotation arrows aren't pointing forward some dipstick mounted one of your tires backwards. Not good... they're made to rotate in one direction. I would assume once the dealer sees this there will be no discussion, they'll just yank it and remount it the correct way. If it were me I'd specify that I don't want whoever did the first mount job within 20 ft of my bike because he's either had deficient training or is an idiot.

It's on an 01 Low Rider. D404 130/90/16 on the rear and D404F 100/90/19 on the front. I have been looking around on line and the it seems that the treads do go in opposite directions (weird) and that the tech did in fact mount the tire backwards. Oh well. I'll pull the thing off and take it into the shop on Monday.

I just figured that the treads would face >>> on the back and >>> on the front also. seems like having one go the opposite direction would push water towards the middle of the tread and not out the side.
