Default Lyndall customer service

I had posted some time ago about a bad squeal in my rear wheel while braking. I called Lyndall about it and spoke to Paul.

He was quick to let me know that my caliper needed a thorough cleaning and that likely caused pad damage and the squeal. Then he told me he was shipping me new pads at no cost. This was not his issue. It was a caliper issue. He told me how to properly clean and reset the caliper also so the new pads would not have the same issue.

I received the pads but they were the wrong kind. I decided to just go ahead and clean anyway then replace with my current pads. I do this and they are fine for about a month so it isn't exactly a waste of time.

I am not one to complain or be a pain...especially if someone does such a kind thing like Paul did. I returned the wrong pads that he shipped to me and wrote a note thanking him and why I was returning the new pads back. I figured that we were done. I didn't want him to waste shipping costs again.

Today I receive a phone call. Its Paul asking why I returned the pads. I explained to him and told him no worries and thanks anyway. He INSISTS on sending me the right ones and again explains the procedure and another common cause with my particular bike.

Thanks to Paul and Lyndall - I will never buy another brand of pad again. This is a stand up guy and a stand up company.

I had a problem with my rear Gold+ pads. didn;t get no more than 6-7K miles on them which is really weird. I don;t ride the brake, but I don;t use the fronts as much either.

Paul ended up discounting the pads for me. I'll probably send the old ones back so they can take a look at them and maybe determine if a problem with the pads..

good people to deal with.

I put my new Z+ pads in today. I was amazed at how easy the rear went in without removing the wheel. And I must say, all the advice here to go with Z+ pads is spot on. No squeeeelllll. Better front brake feel. And massive stopping power.
