Wheel Spacers 00-later wheels on 99-earlier bike

I have ordered a set of 00-07 HD wheels to put on my 99 Heritage. I was told that they will work but that I have to have my spacers machined down. Does anyone know where to get new spacers that someone has done the homework and measuring for me?? I was told that there is some kind of kit that you can buy to fit new wheels on an older bike??
