Default Replacing brake lines

I'm preparing to replace my 2010 FLHX (ABS) brake lines and I have a couple questions. The front brake lines run from the front fork to the ABS module. The lines are squeezed under the fuel tank along side the top frame tube. Do I need to drain and remove the fuel tank to get the old lines out and install the new lines? Also, the parts guy I talked to said that the computer needs to be reflashed at the dealer after replacing the brake lines to make the ABS work properly, is this true?
