Can a Harley 4.5"x17" wheel, off say a Deuce or some Dyna models, be fitted to a 2007 touring bike? Looks like a way of getting in a wider tyre, without going so far as trying to squeeze in a 2009 or later wheel.
Supplementary questions: is the axle 1" diameter, and the hub width, from brake mount to pulley mount, the same? Looks as if they use the same brake rotor and pulley, so fingers crossed someone knows the answer!

Reason: Grammar!
Update! In the absence of any replies I have just found myself a Deuce rear wheel, so I can have a play. I anticipate I will have to drill/bore through the centre of the wheel, so I can install the larger diameter 1" bearing spacer, to take my 1" wheel axle.
