Default front brake reservoir cover

just replaced my front brake master cylinder cover on my dyna, didn't pay any attention when i took it off. One side of the cover is thinner that the other. What direction does the cover go. I know i read up on it somewhere on the forum, but am having no luck with the search function tonight

I just ran into the same question. I believe it is merely aesthetic, and for what it is worth, I have the thin side toward the throttle.
