Default Master Cyclinder Cover Question

Mine leaked brake fluid and peeled the black paint on the cover. I took off the cover and painted it. Now I'm ready to put it back on but I realise there is a thicker and thinner side to the cover. I didn't pay attention and don't know if it even matters but would someone look at their's and see if the thicker part goes to the grip side or does the thinner side?
