Metzler tire question

Do Metzler tires run narrow or are they the same as all tires ?

I'm not sure what you are asking. It is common for tyres of all brands to measure a different width to the size written on them. As an example a 150/80 Avon Venom I had for a while measured 153mm, but a different size tyre was narrower than its nominal size. I don't think Metzeler are any different. Why do you ask?

I'm getting Metzler tires for my bike and I have a 150/80 16 and some one told me Metzlers run narrow just don't want it to look narrow

Metzelers are very popular on HDF. I don't recall anyone commenting about that. They must either be so good nobody minds if they look narrow, or in fact they look normal! If you buy them you will be joining a big 'club' of fellow Metzeler Harley riders. Hope that helps.

All tires run a little bit different in teh width's. Avon's are usually a little bit narrower than Metzeler's for some reason.

metzlers

A few years back, some of the metzlers were being made in south america. They were narrower than dimensions listed. I had that problem with tires on my Dyna. Very noticable. I believe some people complained and were given credit for new tires.

Metzlers

Had a set of Bridgestones on one of my bikes and replaced them with Metzlers same numbers on the sidewall but installed they looked about 7/8 of the Bridgestones.
