i have a 2013 883 iron my rear tire size is 150-80-16. is there a tire that has a smaller side wall profile...the tire is way too tall for my likes....if so what is the size
You're joking?! A number of things to consider. Your stock rear rim is just 3" wide and there are not many sizes of tyre that will fit on it. The common sizes are 130/90, 140/85, 140/90 and your 150/80. They all have a similar rolling diameter, so sidewall height is similar, despite the differences in width.
Lower profile tyres use much wider rims and are also larger in diameter. If you take a look at a SuperLow, the rims are 17" diameter, while yours is 16". The SuperLow also has a 4.5" wide rim. So one option would be to fit a wheel of that size. An alternative is to go yet larger to 18" diameter.
Something else to take into account is that low profile tyres are made for sport bikes and have much less tread than typical Harley tyres, so they are unlikely to last long. In other words there is not a simple solution. A different approach to consider is going much wider, to say 180. Call in the Sportster section and use Search!
