All that's left for me is to hear how long they last ( hopefully before my current E-3's wear out!)

Hurry up guys...

Alright, I posted about sliding on a wet corner, but I rode by there today and it wasn't so much wet as stagnant water from a broken pipe or something. Any standing water here gets slimed by moss very quickly even in the 50s.

Baldy 48,

Is that a puncture mark on the tire? Looks fairly deep.

Are these tires a softer or a harder compound than the Dunflops?

On the Road Glide I ran the E-3's because I could get good mileage out of them, typically 14,000 rear and 16,000 front. That's on mostly asphalt and 'chip 'n tar' country roads.

I finally got the rear 888 on 2,000 miles ago and the handling seems marginally better than the E-3 and the ride is definitlely smoother than the E-3's were. (Less rattling on familiar bumps on my way to work after I switched.)

There's no apparent wear on the tire yet but time will tell. I'm cautiously optimistic at this time.

Those numbers for the E3 sound great!
My 06 flhxi is eating up the stock Dunlops @ 5k rear, approx. 12k front.
Very interested to know about the 888's.

Almost 2 years later and the tread is fine. Put about 14k on them and hardly worn down.

Still not convinced about their wet weather traction being better, though.

Will buy them again.

Yeah, that was a nail that didn't make it all the way through. 2 years later, is still okay.

The 888 does have a harder compound then the me880 and will out last them. Also the 888 run's a little wider then the me880. But both will out do the Dunlop's.....
