Hey guys, I am having a problem with the front brakes on my 07 Roadglide. I have not done any brake work or anything to the bike but now in the last month or so while riding, the front brake lever has gotten very stiff and the front wheel locks up. I get off the bike and I have to open the bleeder valve to release it. afterward the lever is a little spongy but works. everything is good for a while then a few days later it happens again. Same remedy and I am riding again. When it happens, the lever gets so stiff you can't pull it. Any ideas????? I have checked the fluid, its fine. I checked the pads and they are too.

After braking, if the fluid isn't freely returning to the master cylinder, a light pressure keeps the brake pad pressing against the rotor. This causes the rotor to get hot. As heat builds up it causes the fluid to expand and the pad to put more pressure against the rotor.
This creates more heat, fluid expansion which causes the pad to push harder against the rotor, more heat, etc.. Eventually the pressure is so great, the wheel locks up. This is why releasing the pressure, or just letting the fluid cool down, will release the pressure.
The remedy is to replace the caliper creating the problem. Or the master cylinder if that is the source of the blockage.
Thanks for the replies guys, i appreciate it. One more question based on your answers, will the issues you described also cause the front brake lever to also become very hard to pull? When the problem happens, the lever is almost impossible to squeeze.
