So I noticed my right caliber drags a bit on the disk if I push the fork all the way in when tightening the pinch bolts. If I just push in slightly and tighten there is no drag at all. Is this an issue to not push in all th eway while tightening it down. I have a 2012 Road Glide by the way.
First thing I would do would be to push the pads all the way back in to the caliper and try again. The procedure for the front wheel install on later models, from the service manual is
Push and hold right fork slider inboard until it contacts external spacer and tighten axle holder nuts to 132-180 in-lbs (14.9-20.3 Nm).
Did you change wheel bearings? If so, there is a bearing install procedure that, if not followed, would contribute to the problem.
If I understand correctly, when the axle is torqued following the correct procedure, the rotor drags on the inside pad of the right (brake) side caliper and there is no drag on the left (clutch) side. In that case, install so there is no drag, i.e., rotor centered dead center between the pads making sure the pads are fully retracted inot the caloper. Use a feeler guage to measure the gap between the outside of the inner spacer and the fork leg. Whatever that dimension is is the length you will need to add to the spacer on that side. You can buy SS axle spacers online from Vulcan; buy one longer than you need and have it turned down to the correct dimension.
