I had my tire changed yesterday at a dealer and today after work I go to detail my bike and see a f-kin pry mark on my rim. I ll call tomorrow to see what I can do about it. The bike has 7000 miles. I don't mind the rock chip that will happen here and there but to have the outer edge of my rear wheel marked up is bullshit. Anybody ever have a similar situation with a dealer. If so what was the outcome?

I called and left a message that night, received a call back the next morning and they scheduled me an appt. For friday after work. Should be a good test to see if this dealer is worth a ****. Its under new ownership/management by the same family that i bought my bike from in sacramento. So i am confident all will be taken care of. Stay tuned......

So why didn`t you just wait and see if this would be taken care of, before posting the thread?
Whenever you have someone else mount tires, or wheels onto a motorcycle, scrutinize the job as if your life depends on it before you get on the bike. Not after you get home...

That's why I mount my own tires. I'm very picky about the work done on my bike and I know the person who can please me when working on mine. Somethings I can't do and have to take to a mechanic. The last I carried to an Indy and was well pleased.
When I put my new rear tire on, I took about 4 days. Super cleaned the rear spokes and polished and waxed them. New Commander II and tube with new lyndall pads. Properly aligned and vertical alignment of rear and front was performed as well. Not to mention I saved $100 by buying my tire online as opposed to buying from the dealer.
