Yea I know theyre ugly......and big.......................but heres the story...........shortly after installing the apes I took a trip about 700 miles..............................my legs hurt............I just couldnt get comfortable no mater how i leaned or sat..............tried moving bars backward and forward..............................so heres the solution...................dude this is like a recliner.................just looks bad........IMO............really not that bad when riding you really cant see them................................just thought id show what they look like...havnt seen them on this forum............................................. ........LO........................................ ............
RE: floorboards on a bob............................
I think they look good. Most of the "real" bobbers had boards like that.
Which ones are they and where did you get them? Are they adjustable at all, specifically can you move them towards the rear of the bike? I've been thinking about floorboards before my three day trek to Sturgis.
RE: floorboards on a bob............................
hey cheese.........................whats really crazy is that they have a full 7 " of movement any direction...........................I bought'em from J&P.........they are the shakers...........................................
RE: floorboards on a bob............................
Well you're right, they're ugly as homemade sin.But still I've been thinking about the same thing. Right now I'm running forward controls with the mid-mount pegs in place for an alternate position on a long run.
Seems like I've seen some on a forum members Dyna that set in much closer to where they didn't stick out too much farther than the outboard ends of the shiftpeg/brake petal. There was a long thread about this one time, maybe I can find it.
