Default Found something on my front forks

Was replacing my front tire today and with the axle removed I noticed that at the bottom of my forks there is an allen head bolt in each one. Appears to be around 3/8ths in size. Could this be the drain for the fork oil??? Manual says nothing about them. Says to drain fork oil to remove forks and disassemble. Others on this site have said same, that they did away with the drains in 06. Could mine have 05 forks??? Or does this hold the bottom of some spring???

TM, don't remove that 12mm bolt unless you want to disassemble the fork pipes.

No drain plug on the 06 up Dynas.

Mudd, are you sure it is a 12mm? The # 6 keeps on poping up. Give a call. Just did (almost done) a conversion of a 67 Electraglide Pan/Shovel front end to a 04 FL front end to get the disk brakes. Busy for 3 days now.

It holds the dooflatchy in the bottom of the thingamajig. Don't take it out unless you plan on completely dissasembling the fork tube assembly.

Oh, and find a new dealer. ASAP.

Psych, you build that motor this winter???

Bolt #30 holds part #23, the dooflatchy,
in part #26, the thingamajig.
