Alarm key fob
A mate of mine rides an 07 street bob and pulled into a garage yesterday [about 4 \\;hours from home]to fill up, only to find that bike wasn't recognising his key fob when he went to re-start.

Texted him how to reset his fob...hold button for 15 seconds....no joy
 \\;
Texted him how to re-assign his key fob...5 steps involving indicators....nothing
 \\;
Only other thing i could think of was that battery in fob was flat.

My guess is a dead battery in the fob, I have an 07 wg and one of my fobs went out only a couple months after I got the bike, luckly I was at home when it happened and gust grabbed the other. \\; Hope he figures it out

Suspect the fob battery myself. Hog Assist got him from garage to a hotel, but wanted ÂŁ250 to bring him home!! He works for a haulage company so arranged for them to get him home.

He's still none the wiser as to what caused the problem though as battery on bike is now flat.

How difficult is it to remove the alarm system altogether? Have never been keen on mine, and his experience has finally inspired me to rip mine out.
