More oil groves, primary oil flow director, tapered bolt, grooved sprocket...and there will be a retro-kit for earlier models...here we go:
The picture below is part of the retro-fit kit. This part is designed to deflect primary oil toward the compensating sprocket. This is for pre-2014 models. The 2014 models will have a metallic webbing molded into the primary cover to accomplish the same re-direction of primary lubricant to the compensating sprocket:
That's it for the new compensator. Apparently the same primary chain tensioner is being used.

I would say this is as about as close as we will see that this is an admonition from the MoCo that there IS and HAS BEEN a MAJOR PROBLEM with compensators in the Big Twins. With 46K on my original in my 2010 StreetGlide, I am still waiting for it to blow up!
Had a compensator replaced at 50K on my 07 FLHTC, and at 30K on my 12 FLHTK. Next compensator failure/replacement gets this upgrade. Hope it helps. Looks like they determined root cause of failures to be lubrication and cam profile. Sounds reasonable, but only time will tell.

Its not clear that these modifications will bring lots of improvement
Wider cam ramps should lessen wear on the spokes as long as their contact surfaces are sufficiently lubricated and the same case hardening/nitriding is applied to both spokes and cams; the axial roller bearing will only rotate/oscillate by a few degrees, so its longevity seems compromised.
