I slid my forks on my 14 SG and havent had an issue. 1 up, 2 up, city, highway, corners... so far so good.

Not saying it CANT happen, just saying in 3000 miles of diverse riding, it hasnt.

15,000 miles after sliding my forks up on my 2014 FLHTK with NO issues. Some good sized potholes and a big rock the size of my hand at 5mph.My bars are 1-1/2 diameter so not as low as someone with bars 1-1/4 obviously.

One inch lowering blocks in the rear.(No issues)

6 months old, but I have to ask. How was the forks slid up? Just loosen the triple tree bolts?

Yes I agree with Howard and SafetyMan (under no circumstance run tour front end without the springs installed ) SEE Post#4
It will diffidently bottom out.
however if you want to move your your fork tubes up 1 inch (ish) you can do it by only loosening the aux switch panel under ignition switch and then loosen the six (three per side)pinch bolts and that will allow the fork tubes to slide up to make contact with the handle bars (they will act as a hard stop ) you cant go to far 15 minuit job
