On my radio there are two large plugs clipped on top. The black 12 pin connects to the CB module and I tapped into 3 wires there for the auxiliary audio input. I bought the HD auxiliary input adapter and it's plug and play IF you do not have a CB. Otherwise you have to extract the 3 wires and insert them into the connection. The second large plug is greyish and according to the service manual is "P&A Audio". No clue what that is but I do know the HD Auxiliary adapter does not plug into it even though the instruction sheet says it does!

I do want to add at least a dash cam somewhere. So at some time I will need to run more power into the fairing or tap into the "cig lighter" wires.
I would suggest the additional switch accessory harness. It gives you 2 switches on the left hand side of the lower fairing cover. These switches are available since the '15 catalog came out, which came with a better harness then the '14 harness version...
Anyway, that stuff will give you two switched accessory wires (when ignition is on), one for below 2 amp, and one with a relay for above 2 amp. It is plug and play/use under the left side cover and fairing cover. All you have to do is extend the wires into the fairing.
With just the GPS plugged into the little black plug I think you're OK.
Picture shows the plug for the rear audio above the radio...

I hope that helps
Thank you

Found another pic that might help you identifying the plugs...
