I have been out with 18.3 A couple of times and rearly like the improvements. One thing that I have found that is different on this version is the Home command. In the past if you wanted to navigate home, you could use the voice command Favorite...Home and the GPS would build you a route home. When I tried this on 18.3 nothing happened. When I got home I checked and there was no longer a Home in Favorites. I reprogrammed and still nothing happened with voice command. I was finally able to get it to work by going to Nav...Go To...Home. Have not had time to explore voice commands, if anyone has please share with me the voice command. Also has anyone discovered if there is a voice command for delete next waypoint.
When you finish downloading the file it will be in a folder that is Zipped, it will look like a normal folder with a zipper on it.
Right click this folder and from your menu ( depends on what version of windows you have ) you should see a item like Unzip or Extract.
Select the Unzip or Extract command. You will normally have to say where to put the file that will be unzipped. Select or designate the desk top.
When this process is done, ( about 1 to 2 minutes at most) you will have two files, one will be the txt file that is just saying it is the boom 18.3. You can forget about that text file. The file you want is the other one ISO file.
Now put your USB drive in the computer.
Go to the Explorer where you see the Downloads, Desktop, C drive and the USB drive. Depending on your version of windows you should be able to get to this window by left clicking the windows button on the bottom left corner of the screen on you desktop. Then on the right side of that menu you will see computer, select that, it will take you to the explorer with the splint screen, ie on left of the split screen Computer, your other drives, and you should see the USB drive there.
So on the side of this screen (select), left click on disk top item, it will show all of the files on the desktop, then find and then RIGHT DRAG the ISO file to the USB drive, when you are over it ( the USB drive) it will say copy here, then let the right button up and it will copy the file to the Root Directory, ie if you have an empty USB it will do this automatically. (USB drive 8 Gig or larger)
Once that is done you can remove the usb and go to the bike, and follow the Accessory on, plug the USB drive in Radio on, and it will load.
Follow your HD instruction sheet.
Good luck, PM me if you have any issues.
Thanks for the detailed explanation XLCH. I only did the very 1st update that came out way back and hadn't done the other 2 or 3 since then so I was a little rusty but had remembered reading this when you posted it and I referred back to it. Worked like a charm.
I did the update right after it came out and have ridden 500 or 600 miles and played with it quite a bite. Seems like most of the issues have been fixed but have 2 new ones. It has locked up about 5 times where I had no volume or control of the left joy stick. I had to stop and shut the off and restart to get it back. While riding today when I was in Nav. and tried putting a address in the hole thing locked up and could not get anything to work, screen was frozen and I could not get control back by shutting bike off. Parked and sat about 10 minutes with the bike off and restarted and it started working again. Now when I first start the bike I am checking the volume function to make sure it's working so I don't stop and do a restart. I still have my 2011 Limited maybe I should keep it and sell the new one. Truthfully I wish I had my Zumo back.
I have the volume issue before update. It's been that way for a year now for me. I start to think everyone has same issue at different times. I still hate AVC issue

Hopefully they'll get it right eventually..other than the radio,it's still a heck of a bike
Loaded 1.18.3 and now having issues with the Bluetooth. Each time I turn off the motorcycle, the Boom Box unchecks the Bluetooh box and I have to reload my phone (Samsung S3).
Called Customer Service and was told my issue has not been reported. They suggested I do a hard reset, which worked for two days. Now I back to reloading my phone each time I turn off the motorcycle.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I have an S3 as well and haven't had any issues thus far. Have you made sure that your galaxy is updated as well? I know you did a hard reset but maybe you could delete the pairing and repair again?
