Love the new fixes for the nav system but now cant hear myself when I PTT on CB (again)
Tried my CB today for the first time since updating. It muted the radio when I pushed the PTT button but I didn't hear myself. I went in and turned the CB volume up and now I can hear myself. That is with the CB set to headset not speakers. I didn't try it on the speakers. The screen auto dim and Nav zoom are both working correctly now. The AVC is also better. Mine has always worked when set at 4 bars. But before the 1.18.3 update it would drop in half when slowing at about 5mph then return to set volume as soon as I started moving. Now it seems to start dropping the volume gradually at 20 mph and doesn't return to full volume until around 25mph. Not as good as the AVC on my 12 Limited but better than it was. It does only work when using the bikes speakers, not the headset speakers. I didn't find any new issues with this update or previous issues that weren't fixed with this update. If you've been holding off on updating I believe you are good to go with this update.
After you updated with 1.18.3 did you happen to notice if it affected your CB in any way?
Tried it today and I can hear myself on my headset when I transmit. Seems good although nobody was within reception distance to check the actual radio.
Been playing with the update since I was able to ride in some awesome weather for jan. This one has been solid so far. I haven't had to reconnect my BT to my Nexus and things seem to work well all around. Audio on USB seems to come up faster from cold as well.
Mine is updated but weather has prevented me from riding. Good to hear that others have good things to say about this update. Maybe, just maybe, this thing will start to work as advertised for everyone. Lol
Spent the day on the bike after doing the update last night. May be my imagination, but FM reception seemed better, but may have just been good conditions for it. GPS defiantly doing better. Still not near as good as my cheap Garmin in the car, but zoom and labels much improved. Speed volume control about the same as far as I can tell. Thing decided to forget how to Bluetooth. Had to unpair my phone, turn off Bluetooth on bike and phone, and start over to get them talking to each other again. Can't comment on CB as I have not had a chance to use it. Intercom is different. Can not hear own voice through headset when using it. Only way to know if working is to watch icon on dash.
