The heads are so much cooler on the Limited but I'm still getting baked from the cat!!!! I too have street canons, I haven't decided exactly what I want to do.
Yep - I have street cannons (for now) and have tried both with and without the cat - they get a bit louder but at the same time............sounds like pooh without the cat.
So would that be that they sound like pooh with a de-catted stock header or an aftermarket header...and if aftermarket, which one? and...btw, I have the cannons and will be installing a Cobra powerflow header this weekend and will update as to my thoughts of the new sound....

I've only tested with a decatted stock header. I suspect an aftermarket one will be much the same but do post your findings.
p51 is correct, my Street Cannons sounded awful with an aftermarket S&S Power Tune Duals header pipe. This aftermarket header did not have a cat. I now run 4" Rineharts and the sound is awesome!
I guess I'm in the minority, but I'd have to disagree... I changed to a de-catted stock header on my '14 Street Glide with Street Cannons. The sound was louder and definitely BETTER. To each his own, I guess.
Attachment 416029Just got a OE head pipe that was removed before delivery,
Would it be easier to remove the cat from the hardly ran pipe or my pipe which has been heated up?
Plus I had a idea to extend one of the pipes in the collector to direct the exhaust a little more thru the left side, or should I just leave the collector open?

Not Ed, check out this thread over on HTT. It discusses a guy using a divider plate producing Good numbers. Basically, creating a H pipe in last 2 inches of the cat chamber. I've thought about giving this a try...
Thanks all for the feedback on the CAT heat thing. I kinda know, come some warm day I am going to get out a drill and just drill the darn CAT out...
Do I really have to take the header off? I thought I read someone who didnt... ahh... guess its best to do so.
