Default 2014 vs. 2015 Manual

Because I am a procrastinator, I have yet to purchase a manual for my '14 UL. I have an opportunity to get a '15 manual for 1/2 price. I can't imaging there are any differences, but I have been wrong before. Does anybody recall any significant differences between the '14 and '15 models?

From what I've read/heard 2015 changes are: different paint jobs, added a zip tie or two to prevent the front brake from locking up, different clutch seal to keep the clutch from dragging 1st at a stop, and some tweaks to the coolant system to prevent it from leaking, but otherwise the same bike. That 1/2 price deal a one off or something you can share?

I looked at ebay thinking there may be reasonable choices.
None!
Found it at Kutter for $48 which was a good deal for me at the time.

Thanks, Yeah that's probably where I will get mine, if you spend $100 you get free shipping too. A hundred bucks is easy to do buying parts!

I really don't understand this. I too try to save money, however after investing +/- $25K, why risk not having the right info to save $20-25 on the proper Service Manual? In the same post, you dont mind spending another $50 just to save on shipping?

Suggest buying the correct Service Manual. In 2 years when you're trying to figure out something, you won't be wondering what that silly bolt or wire is you see in the 2015 Manual but not on the 2014 bike.

I bought my manuals from Kutter. I think it was $134 total for the Service Manual 99483-15, Electrical Diagnostic Manual 99497-15 and the Parts catalog 99456-15.

One thread that was discussed just a couple of weeks ago, about breaking the brake light switch if not shimmed correctly, is just one example of a difference from '14 to '15. You can read the thread HERE (the link is in the middle), basically the '14 and down (for 20+yrs) have a warning in the manual, where the '15 does not have the warning any longer, because the area was changed to a modular part.

This is one example of how you could easily break something on your bike by using a manual designed for the '15 model year instead of the '14 model year that you own, just something to think about. I agree with Dynamite, I would buy the book for my bike and year, specifically, always have and always will, if the manual was free, I would take it to have for working on other bikes of that year, but I would still buy the manual for my year bike, I would never use a different one, but I may have mentioned it somewhere before, I am crazy like that.

The exception is that I would get the 2015 Boom Audio manual instead of the 2014...No changes, but the 2015 version is more complete than the '14.

A friend of mine totaled his '15 and is not buying another bike, offered me his manuals for $25 if I want them. Thanks for everybody's input.
