Default 2015 Limited EITMS is this normal?

Had a nice long ride today...about 280 miles.
It was over 85° and after a while whenever I stopped for a light the EITMS kicked in. However the cooling fans of the twin cooled system never came on.
Does that sound normal?

The only time I hear the fans is when I shut the bike off. And then just for a short while.

I'm pretty sure the Limited's are the same as the Classics in that EITMS comes on at 80 degrees ambient air temp. So yes normal. Your fans kick in at a higher engine temp

The 2 systems are independent of each other. The EITMS will come on at temps above 80* and no throttle. My dealer recommended that it be turned off and not used. It just shuts down the rear jug at stop lites and such.

Just a little curious. Why would the dealer tell you to disable it? The system works great, and you can feel the heat wash away while sitting at a stop light, makes a huge difference.

I think it's odd too that a dealer would say that but it's mostly a rider preference item. Kind comes down to how fast or slow you want to cook yourself since it's more of a rider comfort item. Some find when it's active that the bike smells bad and sounds bad and just don't want to deal with that. Personally when it's hot and humid here and I know I'll get stuck in traffic, I'll turn mine on but that's just my preference. My throttle response is fine with it and I haveno noticed any smells. It just sou do different chugging on our e cylinder.

I have disabled mine since my 2011 FLTRU.

I don't like it. Never did really feel any heat difference.

It is there for the rider, not for the bike.
