Are many of you riding with the stock windshield? I like the looks and seems to work well unless my wife rides which is not often. Just curious on your experience- thanks

What does your wife riding have to do with the wind shield? Just curious if you mean when she's on the back it changes air flow or something?

+1

I have a 9" recurve medium tint on mine.
The "recurve" allows you to use a shorter shield and still have the same wind protection as a taller shield.
Very happy with mine.

+2 on the long ride shield. Did the 9" in dark tint and its great. It's well worth the money and has the same wind coverage as the stocker.

Harley purposely cut the windshields lower on the Ultras and Limiteds beginning with the 2014 model year because they were hoping most will buy their taller accessory windshields. They will say it was done because of the redesigned fairing and vent, but most know the real reason. After all, it's all about marketing. Problem is, many are going to the aftermarket for their new windshields. Riders over 6' will not like the stock shield.

I thought the OEM shield worked fine. I had about the same protection as my OEM shield did on my 2011 FLHTK.

I use the OEM shield on my 15 FLHTK when my wife rides long distance with me. Otherwise I use a 7" HD Dark Smoke wind deflector.

The OEM shield on my 14 worked just fine and I had no complaints. However, I ordered a dark LRS just because it plain and simply looks better. So far, I notice no plus or minus in performance. YMMV

Cheers
