Reading in this forum, for some it works, for a few others not. I can't tell what the difference is between those for whom it works, and those for whom it doesn't. I am among those the AVC doesn't work for. I have a Stage I Boom upgrade, with four speakers, and after that was done my AVC quit working and never has since...
If you have the latest update, 1.19.1.1, then I got nothing. Sorry.
Near as I've been able to determine, AVC "kinda" works. If I have the volume set at a barely heard level, there is a slight change in volume with speed but it seems to be all done adjusting by about 20 mph. When I set the volume to a level that is heard above the ambient, there is no discernable increase from AVC. Tells me the AVC works, but the gains are so low that most of us can't hear any differences in the various AVC levels, hence it doesn't work (when it is working, but ineffectively).
Same here, my AVC works some what. However I still am adjusting the volume up and down.

X2 ... I noticed with mine on the highway if I turn the AVC off, I have to really crank up the volume more to hear it. When the AVC is on I don't have to crank it up as loud. Certainly not the best, but better than nothing I guess.
Been said before, it works, it just doesn't have the variability that is required when on an open air vehicle with loud pipes. The adjustment up and down would likely be very noticeable in a car, but not enough on a bike.
Everything about the system sucks. One of the reasons I went to a Touring was to have music, glad I went with the Custom and not the Special.
The rest of the RG has been great though.
I've pretty much given up on my Boom system. However, if memory serves me correctly, aren't there "low-medium-high" settings for the AVC? Perhaps increasing the setting will give more noticeable results.
