Default Daymaker Install Question

My 2014 RK has the original headlight and I am going to install the Daymaker. Can I expect the alignment to be OK for this headlight if it is OK now?

you shouldn't mess with the adjusting screws at all, so it will be close, but you will have to adjust it a bit.

What I have read is the original headlights are set to the low side and those of us the went with daymakers usually have to raise it up a bit.

No I personally would not expect it.

To get the best visibility out of your Daymaker you should adjust or at least make sure it is angled where it needs to be, that is the reason why your swapping it out.

Your manual should tell you how.

On the SGS you need to be 25 feet from a wall on a flat surface the center of the headlight should be the same height as the measurement from the ground to the center of the light. I don't know if it is the same rule for your Road King, but again it should be in the manual.

Did you get the Daymaker projector?
or the Daymaker Reflector?

The Projector (#67700241) $399 no tax & free shipping. $100 less than my dealer. $16 for the adapter. (Not interested in a debate regarding other brands etc...)

Good price, but again I would highly recommend adjusting that light, it makes a huge difference when the projector Is adjusted properly.

Actually its a must, otherwise you will not be happy with it. JMO

Sorry, I should have been more clear. On installation, you shouldn't mess with the adjustment screws.

Mine was same with the Daymaker. Very disappointed in light output for the cost.
Checked alignment per HD manual, way low from HD. Night and day difference once adj correctly

Put on one my '14 SGS no problem, its as easy as removing the OEM light and putting this on in its place along with the wiring harness. Easy Peazy... Not need to mess with the adjustments as all. Your light should shine in the same location as the OEM only better!!!
