On my 2015 SGS, I have the DK Custom breather, K&N filter, and am adding the Jackpot header pipe and FuelMoto download. Looking at the FuelMoto, Zippers, etc. a/c kits I don't see a significant difference in the a/c housing other than two large oval openings.
So, not being cheap but why can't I just cut similar openings in my stock housing?
I have the k&n element in mine. Fuel moto micro tuner and download. For what its worth, the fuel moto download for my tune with k&n element is the same for a big sucker per fuel moto.
If I hadn't swapped throttle bodies...I'd still be running a stock AC cover with a K&N element, you'd be hard pressed to have that become the 'weakest link'.
The stock airbox should flow all the air your bike needs. Someone who knows of such things told me there IS a little to be gained by removing the screen if you need more.
Second, the stock housing does a great job of keeping the intake noise in, and there's a lot of it. I sold a Ness Big Sucker with the open back 'cause the intake noise drowned out the exhaust noise.
