I am running a metzler 880 me 120/70/21 on the front of my 2015 SGS. Can't see the pressure on the sidewall. Looked at metzler website and they have all of their sizes listed in one long sentence super confusing.....can somebody just tell me what psi to put in this tire? Thanks people
Recommended tire pressure is listed on the plate/sticker on the left side of the bike on the down tubes near the neck. Like Greatsteaks mentioned, sidewall is for maximum.
I can't go by what the sidewall says cuz I can't find it on there. I guess I have to look harder. Also the plate/sticker on the downtube is for the stock tires isn't it? This is a custom wheel with a different height/width tire than stock. Thanks for the help though.

The plate/sticker is for all tires as long as the tires are OEM size. The pressure is determined by the manufacturer for the weight of the vehicle and the stock sized tires. Just like a car or truck has the pressure listed on the sticker inside the driver's side door jamb.
However, if you change the tire size, that changes the physics of how much air pressure you need in order to have the proper size contact patch between the tire and the pavement.
Also, just like cars/trucks, when there is extra load, more air pressure may be required. The sidewall will only give you max pressure and you should only need to go that far if load requires it. You should also be able to find the max pressure of the tires on the manufacturer website.
