I like the Danny Gray LowIST I bought. Very comfortable for me, and my wife loves the back. I only had the stock seat before which she completely hated.
my wife hated the stock seat too, it rolls back with the fender and narrows a lot. that was the first thing that got changed above all else I've had my super villan for about 5 years now and its a lot better than stock as it had a pocket to sit in for the rear. What I think happened was I put a chopped tour pack on and the height difference of the medium sissy bar to the tour pack is about 2" shorter with the tour pack. Plus, I think its to far back and she sits farther back but when I move it forward about an inch she thinks its to far forward.
The original answer to this instead of changing the seat after being given a free riders coarse by HD at the international motorcycle show was to just get her a bike of her own. Getting laid off and starting my own business kinda put a slow down on that though. She dose have an endorsement now! Makes for a better passenger for sure I noticed a huge improvement of how much easier it is to ride after that.
I like the look of the low. It's a led sled look. I need to get two more things to make it a great ride. First the windshield needs to be replaced from the short to a 10in, and then the slip ons have to be put on. The 15's are just way too quiet for my taste.
I'm leaning to the hammock seat right now. I tried it out at the dealer and think it will due the trick. I don't mind being low but I need to be a little further back.
I'm looking for a seat with basically the same dimensions and seat height as the stock, but, much more comfortable. I can only do a max of 3 hours on my stock seat, before I can't take it anymore. I'm thinking mean city, but, I'm open to other suggestions.
We went to lndiana from Minnesota last weekend using a Mustang trike seat demo that my local dealer let us try. Put on close to 1100 miles and it was a very comfy seat. My girl had zero complaints.
Been looking at this seat for my Limited . How's it working after using it for a couple months ?
Plenty of room ? I know it's supposed to move rider back some did that crowd passenger too much ?
Thanks for any & all help . Looking at seats every day till my head's spinning .
had the same issue, bought the h.d. hammock. now can get her off it.
Ran a Hammock on my 08 SG for long rides and when the wife went. I don't care what it looks like. Or what other people think it looks like. I could go tank to tank stop long enough to fill up and go. My new RGS. Left the dealership with a hammock seat NIB. And a Saddleman Solo seat. Just did 1700 miles in New England. With the sissy bar on it don't look bad at all. I agree without it it's big. But really comfort trumps looks. Especially when you're sitting in it and no one can see the Damn thing anyway. My wife lives the hammock.
