Yea, you would have to explain that to me and I still would not understand. Moral of the story, don't use these until you have installed steel valve stems. I just aired up my tires to 38/42 for a trip I'm going on tomorrow with my wife and trailer. Using my new T valves was SO nice to use! I recommend them even if your not using sensors.

Oddly enough I was thinking about this very topic on my way back from Sturgis yesterday. The speed limit in SD on I-90 is 80 MPH. Traffic was running at 90. My one concern running at those speeds was sudden air pressure loss of the front tire. Had it happen once an survived. Oddly enough, I thought of tire pressure monitors and I was damn glad I didn't have any because I figured they would tear the rubber stems.

irony - something that is meant to warn you of sudden air pressure loss creates sudden air pressure loss.

No thanks.

Ain't that the truth! Kind of like the Takata air bags, huh?

The Original post stated airloss was fast and violent...

Fast and violent sure doesn't sound like you have plenty of time...

I'm with you. Read about the FOBO then decided to save my $100. I can live without and have been living without for 30 years of riding now.

I think a tire pressure monitor system is a great idea.. I know there are plenty of times that I haven't wanted to walk into the shop to grab gauges.

But unfortunately I don't think it should be used in an emergency event

They're on the FOBO website under accessories.

There was some confusion at some point what size stem or hole in the rim is. Seems not all stems are created equal...What size is the hole on the TK's?
