I just did a 1400 mile trip. I have metal value stems and the FOBO's worked great. I keep an old cell phone in the garage and just check tire pressure before I leave house. Believe me if you get a flat sudden air pressure loss. You will know it I got a flat on way to Austin last year.

PS Flat nothing to do with the FOBO was screw.

When I got FOBO in early June, they included a pair of metal valve stems in the package. Didn't need them because I had also purchased the t stems.

FOBO clearly warns to NOT use rubber valve stems ...

Anybody know? The HD TPMS on the CVO's, looks like you can get front and rear sensor kits for about $90.00 each from Boardtracker. But will they work with the 6.5 BOOM or do you have to have the CVO BOOM for the TPMS to work or be read? I currently have the FOBO with their metal T-Stems on my bike and have zero complaints. I use it to check tire pressures and that's it. Like most, I let seat of the pants tell me if I have a tire pressure problem while riding. But if a problem is suspected, it sure is easy to check pressures once stopped.

When was the last time you had a valve stem core leak?

We came out of a cafe and my Buddy's rear tire on his Road King was nearly flat because the TPMS leaked. He took them off.

I use these, short and cheap, the price almost scared me, but I have no problems with them.
Thanks for the info. Ordered both the Steelmate TP90 and the valve stems.

While I absolutely believe in the practice of maintaining air pressure, there is nothing like that feeling when unsure if the road is suddenly sloppy or if a tire is low. Many times there isn't anywhere safe to pull over and check. As we all know, there is nothing safe about being down on hands and knees on the shoulder of the road. It's cases like this that the TPMS can shed some light in a safe manner.

Good Points! I already committed years ago to install 82 or 90 Degree Aluminum valve stems to make it easier for me to check My own pressures more easily on all my bikes. I don't think I would like to hang more weight off center with that 90 degree turn. BTW, do they recommend rebalancing your tires after the additional weight off center?

I have a Fobo system that I bought as a back up in case the 'In Tire" sensors for the Orange Electronics M203T TPMS system didn't fit inside my '16 Road Glide Ultra's factory rims. The sensors fit without any issue... now I have a Christmas present for a buddy The M203T has its own display and uses in tire sensors that fit in my factory rims no problem. It does not require any movement to register tire pressure. It is accurate to within 1/2 pound of what my tire gauge shows. It displays tire temps also, and you can set ranges for pressure and temp for each tire that will send warnings if they go out of that range (display turns red).
You have to figure out how/where you want to mount the display, because it doesn't come with a mount, other than double stick tape. To mount mine I used a scrap piece of 1/8" aluminum painted black and cut it to 2" x 3" and stuck the display to that. Then, using longer screws and standoffs, like some cup holder mounts use, mounted that in front of the front brake reservoir. Wired the display in so it turns off and on with the bike. Works like a charm and took less than an hour to install and wire up (after I had the sensors installed).
Warranty covers sensors and display for 2 years, The system cost $175.00 and replacement tire sensors are about $35.00 each. I got it thru RRRToolSolutions. I'm happy with it... It's still new, but I just made a 2500 mile run up to the Black Hills and back, in and out of rain and temperatures from 60 to 105, it operated as I would expect it to... now just see how long it holds up lol It cost more than the Fobo, but thought I'd throw it out there if anyone's looking for an alternative to capping their valve stems or using their cell phones.
Below is how I mounted mine... sure a more industrious person would come up with better ideas.
