I weighed one FoBo sensor for ***** and grins it came in at 12 grams, or .423 ounces.

Only had the front Installed as the rear tire was new, I was waiting to replace rear tire to Install the T valve.

Damn, I guess I'm more anally retentive than I thought I was. I check my tire pressures at least once a week.

I haven't found my pressure to leak down enough to warrant checking every week. I top off before big road trips but just around town I am not worried about it. You check your car tires every week too? I usually go between oil changes on the car lol.

So,, all the decades we've not had TPS systems on Motorcycles,, and never issues? I look at my bike before I leave the house every time,,, I check the air in my tires at least every two weeks,, or before a long ride. Also as mentioned above, don't most experienced riders notice when the bike doesn't "Feel right" in handling? Washes out in corners maybe,, I have NEVER had a tire go flat on a Motorcycle while I was riding it, I have came out to my bike after work and found it on a flat,, went to my bike in garage and found it on a flat. 2 times in my 750,000 miles of riding,, two flats,,,, it's kind of our responsibility to keep up on these items,, isn't it?

And isn't using modern technology one of the ways to be responsible about it? We lived for decades without lots of things we all use now. Nobody is saying its mandatory, it's just a convent option. I use to check my pressure, I don't know?, probably not enough. I now check it before every ride in a very convent way without having to get down on my old knees, once I ride away I do not hold the fobo responsible for letting me know I'm loosing pressure, if it does that's great but initial pre ride check is the main reason I have them. AND, your one of the lucky ones(as most of us are) who have never gotten a flat at highway speeds, but it does happen.

yes, I know, and technology is good most times, but some things I just don't trust to it, I agree, getting down on one knee to check with a tire pressure gauge is a PITA,, I am nearly 60 yrs old, and have bad knees,,, but still have no desire to have TPMS on a Motorcycle.... not really dissing those that do. And if these damage the rubber stem,, (I presume they mount off the stem inside?) if they are damaging the stems, then it sounds like it's the manufacturers fault, they should be responsible... or give the metal stems with the kit,,,,, if they don't...I am not totally against new tech,, ABS on my 2010 SG was awesome,, many griped about it on here, "I can stop faster on my own" BULL CRAP! First time I really needed it turned out to be a blessing, and I KNOW no one could have stopped under those circumstances, wife and I on my SG,, light rain, (worse kind IMHO) someone pulled out in front,, I stood on both brakes hard, stopped about 5' from his door, he froze,, stopped after he saw me and just stared,, then sped off,,, I WAS PISSED! But we stopped straight and true,, it would have laid down without them,, and we'd have hit him, I know....so I am NOT against new tech,,,

I just installed the Tire Watch system on my '14 FLHTK last week with a new set of tires at the same time. Works perfect, nice design.

Well-thought-out design, and I really like that there is nothing to hard wire, like several other real TPMS bike solutions.

I also had a valve stem tear out with a valve-topper style (not FOBO, but the same thing, essentially) on a rubber valve stem while on the west coast last summer.

For those who want to use valve stem toppers for your TPMS, please use metal valve stems--it's a real thing for safety.

All the best,

Shane
