I'm not a fan of quick detach, extra parts expense and going to leave TP on all time, but I wanted to move TP up in solo position. Has anyone fabbed a new solo solid mount or modified stock mount for solo position TP? Thanks!

Forget trying to fab something up. Harley makes the proper bracket to move it up. That's all you need plus 4 point docking hardware. I think I have a total of $230.00 to move it up.

I'm running the QD kit on my Limited and it stays in solo mode most of the time. It's so much easier to ride when I can just throw a leg over. I ride by myself most of the time. If someone does ride with me for a quick trip I pop on the Mustang passenger pad and backrest and off we go. Occasionally I'll put it back into full tour mode. It's great either way and I've had no issues with stability. The TP locks in tight and looks / feels like it did when I drove it home from the showroom. So glad I have the docking kit.

I think it looks MUCH better that way.
I actually went the other way, I have the SG with a king tour-pak. I use the stock seat when I am solo and the mustang when I have the pack on.

I put my TP on maybe 3-4 times a year for my wife...
