Regarding the 1.0" and 1.5" shifters - which is which? This is exactly what I need and I'm a new street rider! Difficult to fit my cowboys boots exactly between the stockers.
Just guessing, but judging from the photos looks like the
+1.5 is on the heel?

That's what I was guessing. How would one go about measuring do you think? I've just been eyeballing where I place my feet trying to estimate what I might prefer. Was guessing the 1" might just work fine on each lever. My size 10.5 boots barely fit inside the levers right now. I could stand a little wiggle room.

Sorry.. I just checked.. its actually .5" longer for the toe and 1" longer for the heel. I went longer for the heel shifter so it would clear the floor board. That way i could set the heel shifter just above the level of the board, and just slide my foot back to shift. i barely have to lift my heel to shift.
I wear size 10 cowboy boots when i ride and i can place my boot anywhere i want on the board.
Good comment about their site - I too tired to put in the year and could not get it.
Contacted my local dealer and asked him to install the entire setup ( I don't do any work on my bike) - the setup I wanted was plain and not available.
Called the owner - he has a lot of information on his softbrake and appears very knowledgeable. His explanation makes a lot of sense - however, what bothered me was - as he explained his "Superior" produce, he continues to say what a piece of junk Harley put on our bikes and how awful it is that they did that.
My take - man just sell what you have to offer - bashing like that is not necessary.

That's a sign of a true unprofessional when they knock someone else's product.
Even when it is true.
I too could not get the Softbrake site to work. Checked out EZ Brake, and got amazing customer service. I also think the angle of the brake is better with the EZ Brake. Very happy with my purchase. You have other options.

I looked at the E-Z Brake $199 vs $152 ($168 shipped) for the Softbrake.
I called EZ Brake and they provided some great information. First, I want the plain brake and they have it available. Softbrake said he didn't have any and could not tell me when he may make more.
Plus, EZ brake told me which dealer near me orders a lot of these. In my case, Wolverine Harley - not too far from me. I called them and they said they probably do about 2 - 3 of these each month. They charge $50 for the brake install.
Asked about the shiftier and was told that most gous don't have that done- just happy with the brake level.
Also asked about the extra spacers for the floor board - dealer said he could do that - but again, most just do the brake.
My question for those here that have either Softbrake or EX brake. Do you really need the shifter sie of the floorboard exenders.
