I installed the +1 Softbrake on my '15 SG special. Agreed, the stock is ridiculous! I've heard the +1 will not work if I add lowers. Is this the +1 "wide" (W) that I need?

Anyways, I love it! I have the +1 shifter but installed for like 20mi and I prefer the stock for that. For sale if anyone wants it. Chrome slotted. PM me.

That's my understanding --spacer kit and the +1 wide with lowers

I had a 11 FLHTK and now a 15 FLHTK. I have the same problem. I feel that the 15 has me more forward on the bike than the 11 was. I'm tall and my foot is on top the foot lever with the heel 3 inches off the board. So when breaking I'm like stomping downward on the brake instead of rolling on the break as when your heel is anchored to the floorboard. This is the first I've heard of needing floorboard extension for it to fit. Really don't want to put extensions because I don't want to decrease my lean angle while cornering.

Personally, I like the stock brake pedal hieght. I like to be able to get my foot under it. I do wish it was farther forward though.

I've tried a few a times to order extended shifter levers but the website is a hot mess.

Not sure about the need to have floorboard extensions for it to fit. But, I can say I have the Kury extensions and it didn't change my lean angle much at all, as in it was so negligible that refraining from install for that reason would never cross my mind. Plus, they're like $30...take'm off to sell if you don't like'm.

I am 6' 5" and was too cramped. I installed the Tall Boy foot pad extensions, a Kuryakin 3/4" extension on both sides and the SoftBrake 1" brake and 1" shifter extension. The TallBoy moves the pads down 2" and forward 2". The Kuryakin moves the boards away from the engine. I had to use a Drexel sanding wheel to cur the lowere fairings but it was easy and looks good. The SoftBrake is 20 degrees lower and 20 degrees outward so the brake can be used with your heel in the floorboard. Now I feel much less cramped.

I already bought the floor board extenders for my 15 Limited from the guy that sells them on this forum, can't remember the name right now. But I also put on the soft brake pedal that lowered and moved the pedal forward....It's great!

You mentioned the shifter extensions but i don't know if you actually got them.. if not i highly recommend them. I have a +1 and +1.5 and it give me the entire floor board for my foot. Best of all it allows me to place the shifters at an angle where i really don't have to move my foot much to shift

Regarding the 1.0" and 1.5" shifters - which is which? This is exactly what I need and I'm a new street rider! Difficult to fit my cowboys boots exactly between the stockers.

I thought the same thing. Ordered from EZ Brake. Way better website. Amazing customer service. I made a thread about it, no one seemed to care . . .

I have the Kury extenders too. Made a big difference in comfort - they are 1" out and 1" forward. Lean angle has never been an issue on my FLHTK.

I really need the softbrake... that's my only complaint about comfort
