I have 10" LA choppers. They put my hands hands just under the wind from the fairing, but still have been hit by a bug or two. Love the position my hands are in, even after a 3 day 2,000 mile trip. It's a very natural position for me. It's always best to sit on a bike with bars to find ones you like.
Kinda wondering why a 9" isn't available. A 9" would allow the fairing to protect you while still giving you a fist in the wind (w/o the wind) feeling.
I just installed Chubby WO578 10" on my (new to me) 2015 Limited last night!
I like the quality of the Cubby bars.
Best bars I have ever had on any of my bikes were Wild One Chubby 575s. I expected to install a set on my new 2016 FLHTK right up to the point where I found out the WO575s don't fit on the Rushmore Ultra's. What a surprise. Rumor has it Wild One is working on a 575 type bar that will fit the '14-16' Ultras. Hopefully they will be available in time to make my winter project schedule. Definitely worth waiting for IMHO.
I've got Klock Werks Ergo back bars and I really like them, although they did take a little getting used to. I had the same issue with my wrists. The shallow angle of the Ergo bars cured that for me and the increase in height pretty much eliminated upper back/neck pain for me.
There's very little wrist angle, so if you like bars with much sweep then they aren't for you.

low wrist angle is exactly what I want, I would keep stockers if not for that. Will have a look at these thanks.

Might I ask how tall you are? I'm looking at these bars too, I would like the standard, but those aren't available for 2014 and up models
