I'm curious as well. I recently (last weekend) picked up an end of the season deal on a '16 limited. In the same breath, I got a hold of a free 110" engine upgrade kit/only pay service labor costs. To some degree, I'm inclined to believe it's all about the inches just as "she says," or if be happy with just doing the usual stage 1 on the HO 103.

Thoughts?

If you go for the motor upgrade, you have to buy the bike at full MSRP. But that doesn't mean you can't work a deal to get both the upgrade and money off when those 16's are still lingering around. I bought my 16 Ultra 2 weeks before they offer this. But I'm happy with the $4,300 off of the bike that I got and 17k for my 14 SGS with 23K on it

I'm curious as well about the SE tire shredder kit for my '16 Ultra. Guess it is the stage 4 they are offering now. Don't know much about the 222 cams. Seems like something else would be more fun without screwing it up. For the price, it seems like a good value for all the parts you get if it runs and is tunable with a PV. I worry too about reliability some. Bye bye warranty.

A friend is mine did the 110 tire shredder kit to his 14. He used Tman 590 cams instead and had it programmed with a tts. Numbers ended up at 120hp/130tq with a nice flat curve.

I agree. For that big of discount, keep the 103 and down the line do the upgrade or trade it in. The complete SE 110 KIT can be had for $1760 through Backboard HD. Labor shouldn't be double that. So, all can be done under 4k down the road.

I went to Street Vibrations and demo'd the new line up. They had a SE 110 on one of the bikes and it was as smooth as the new M8's. The crankshaft has a counter balance to make it smoother at idle. So my point is if you rode a factory SE 110ci the feeling won't be the same since you keep your original bottom end and case's.

I got the same numbers but stayed with the SE259s, I did use a fullsac dx which might have helped.

So you rode the CVO Pro Street? Its a softtail so it should have a "B" motor with the counter balancer.

Would like some details on this. Purchased a 2016 SGS in May (which is a fabulous bike) but mildly annoyed that they come out with the new M8 for the same price three months later. Would take advantage of any motor upgrade they may be offering.
