Just curious as to how the cranks are holding up with these kits? Especially with those who bump up the kits with more aggressive cams and compression. I think about doing the 110" and then wonder if 110 HP and 120 TQ with some different stuff other than Screamin Eagle is a good idea with an unworked crank......
Last away winter, I did a total motor build with the 117" Pro Race motor upgrade kit.
Every moving part inside motor is brand spanking new, new comp sprocket, except added GMR Genesis 577 cams, GMR lifters, and AV&V beehives springs.
Sent my lower end to Dark Horse to get blued, trued, balanced, welded and then added an SE Timken bearing before building the new engine up.
Overkill, maybe, maybe not. But I can sleep well at night!p

I hear ya. I have a 107 all bore that I did (wish I just did 117) that I had the bottom end t,b,w and timken. I just have a hard time thinking of doing a build where hopefully making 120 square and not doing the bottom end.
2 seasons, don't know how many miles. All of my riding are day trips, mostly canyons and hotrodding. Went thru a rear tire after the change to 107", the other things that were changed, and the 2 dyno tunes, 1 with a RB Racing LSR and then the swap to the Boarzilla. My dyno guy has told me that when you take one out to 107" and get after it like I have, they are ticking time bombs. Told me to save some money and figure out if I want a 117" or a 124" because it will shift the crank at this power level, its only a matter of time. So I had the porting on my heads and throttle body, my camset and exhaust choice based on going 117"-124" in the future. The exhaust though was a surprise, the boarzilla popped 10hp over the RB and the tq stayed the same and it is much quieter. I changed to the d&d after 6 months using the RB and the rb was earsplitting loud. I had the rb before the 107" was done and it was loud at 103" but the change in compression made it really cackle, LOL. Like I said I don't have any illusions about the bottom end being rock solid but it hasn't shifted yet.
