Old trick is to pull the plug, put the assembly face down in a big zip-lock bag of rice to dry it out, takes about 24hrs. Be careful not to move the bag as you don't want rice getting in the plug hole. Take it out of the rice once dry and put the plug back in.

No way, its just a little 1/4" hole if I remember correctly.
Just pull it and don't worry about it. Mine has been out all this year without any side effects. You have to take the fairing off and basically remove the headlight to get at the plug, you'll find it behind a piece of tape.
