Went for a ride last week. Bike sat for a week. Now it won't start. 14 street glide special with only 2k miles. It's throwing code p2176. Bike cranks over but won't fire up. Dealer changed bars to 12.5 inch apes when bought new before I took it home. Never had an issue before. Looked up code p2176 and can't really find a solid answer. Bike is 4 months out of warranty.

Try to reset the ECU
- Turn switch on for about 10 sec then off for about 10 sec
Does the motor turn over? If not possibly the battery is low. The link below gives all the codes. P2176 (P2176 EFI Closed Position Not Learned) might indicate a loose wire or poor connection. If you are capable try and trace the wires coming out of the handlebars checking all of the connections. This may require removing the front fairing, not a hard job just be careful to support it when removing the last screws and unplug the headlight. http://www.fuelmotousa.com/p-29661-h...ble-codes.html thanks fuelmoto.
I removed front fairing and can't seem to locate wires coming out of handle bars. What's the best way to chase down the tbw connection
wires exit the bars in the bottom center of the bars. are you bars internally wired? The tbw has a small green plug that is half way down the bars. Coming out the bottom of the bars will be 3 bundles of wires. Right and left switch packs and the tbw
Called the dealer today. The GM was super cool about it. Told me if it's their fault from bar install it's theirs to fix. Hope so. They even offered to pick it up on their dime and they are 36 miles away from me. Hope it's from their bar install. They used 12.5 inch wild one bars. Pretty sure they didn't use the SE kit for the TBW so maybe they will use it this time. Even thinking of buying new bars and having them installed. The wild ones have too much pull back for me. I need a bar that hugs the inner fairing all the way up.
