I was riding home from work the other day, when a really good song came on, so I turned it up. Well after a mile or so the radio got quieter and quieter crackling a little as the volume went down to nothing. I changed channels and nothing, after a few mile i was able to turn it up again, by then I was home. Sounded like an amp frying, but it came back, so now I am not sure. This was all on sat radio.
Ideas?
I switched, and it seemed the same on fm as SAT. I do have the latest update of 1.20.3
Thanks for the input.
Went out for four hours Sat and it was fine. I had kinda hoped it would act up again.
It has been doing another weird thing, twice on this ride, and just about every ride it will switch to WB for no reason. Then i have to put it back on SAT, it has done this since I bought the bike. I have been meaning to take it to the dealer, but it is so infrequent, i am not sure what they could do to troubleshoot.

Go into the settings and turn off WB, don't remember exactly how but a search or the manual should tell you. This is a common problem, "they all do that"... I think it's the alerts that set it off...

Yep, mine did so when new, turned off , all good now
Did you install an amp? Still running stock speakers?

I read a lot on this forum and spend quite a bit of time in the Audio Forum. It's simply bind-blowing some of the posts here referencing most basic functions of the Boom are foreign language to some dealers. You're much better off starting 'here' and trying/learning a few things first.

Biketronics and their customer service is highly respected on this forum. They recommend a reset after performing an update. You will lose all of your settings, though. FM/XM presets, GPS presets, etc. Basically, it's like you just picked the bike up off the showroom floor. If you're still having quirky Boom issues, try a reset.
