If I let go of, or very lightly hold the hand grips when I down shift or let go of the throttle, I get a bad back and forth movement of the handle bar that gets worse the longer I keep my hands off of it. Stops when I grab the bars again. Any ideas? 2015 FLHTK, 13k on it. I'm putting new tires on soon and will check the bearings but I'll take all the advice I can get. Thanks!
13 k on the OE tires. 36 psi air. No cupping. I'll check the riser bolts. As for the fall away, I read it and didn't really understand it. I'll read it a few more times. Thanks!
You have one or more of the following
Neck bearing that needs adjustment, Has it ever been done?
Adjusting the neck bearing is not uncommon in first 20K.
Defective front tire, It happens from time to time
Bad front bearing , that is easy to check.
I would sure hope it don't need new tires at 13K. If they are at the wear point at 13K some serious issues are going on.
I need a new rear tire since it has 3/32 left and I'm going to thin whitewalls so they are both being replaced. I'm assuming to check the wheel bearing, lift the bike and feel for slop on the wheel? Neck bearing?
I get a wobble letting off the bars at like 30mph, anything after that it's solid as a rock...where does yours wobble at?? The easy fix is to not let go...

if I wind up first or second to the shift point and let go and not shift.
