2014 TK here, 15k on stock Dunlops, 30k on first set of MC2's, at 25K on 2nd set of MC2's so far, can get 5k more. @ 4/32" in center of tire front and rear. Daily driver, commute 55 miles roundtrip 80 mph high way. Central Florida. Road material makes a big difference on tire life. Southern roads have a different less abrasive surface than northern roads. When I lived up north, tires wore out faster.

UltraZac ~ no story here, just the facts. I got over 28,000 miles from my OEM dunlops and still had 3/32" tread depth when I changed them. I just didn't like how they handled so I put American Elites on. I have 42,500 miles now and still plenty of tread depth left.

I run 36 psi front and 40 psi in the rear. Daily rider on Florida highways and turnpike, about 100 miles round trip. Mostly one up.

I just installed American Elites and am very happy with them so far. I got 16k on my stock tires. They still had a bit more mileage left on them, I just got tired of the humming in turns from the cupping. I had MCII's on my previous Ultra and they were good also. i think with either AE or MC, you'd be happy.

You will hear people say I changed to different tire this time and they ride much better than the OEM tires I took off...... Just remember, a new set of tires will make a bike ride like a new bike.

Yes, but the American Elites and the MCII still ride as good, if not better, than OEM for a bit less cash. That's why I changed, why spend more of your hard earned cash if you don't have too? I guess if it means that much to you to have the HD symbol on your sidewall, be my guest. Have you ever noticed the American Elites have the American Flag embossed on their sidewall? I'll pick the flag EVERY time.

The last 2 times I was at the dealer their OEM tires were on sale for half price.

Of course, if you have them installed at their shop ... At $106 an hour labor rate x2. That's NOT half price. I can buy AND install both front and rear American Elites for $330. Knock yourself out if you can beat that. I'll also service my brakes and inspect my bearings at the same time.

Michelin Commander IIs on all my bikes! Best handling tire I have ever rode! They have no problem and are solidly stable on wet tar snakes!

Metzler ME888. Great stuff compared to the OEM dunflops.

On my 3rd set now and love them.
This is similar to the tire life I have experienced. The OEM Dunlop was wore right out at 9,000 kms (5600 miles) with no tread left in the centre. I now have 34,000 kms (21,000 miles) on a Dunlop American Elite. I could probably get another 5,000 kms but I will be installing a new Elites front and rear for the new season since I have a long trip planned.
