Default SMS response with iPhone 7
Has any one had problems sending back an auto reply text message with a 6.5 info system and an iPhone 7
I have linked a Samsung to the bike and when I ignore a call it sends my response " riding will call later"
With my I phone I can't get the text to send,
Are there any special tricks in the set up of an iPhone 7 to fix this ?

Something to do with IPhone security.

As far as I am aware there are no special tricks to get the Iphone to send an auto reply, it just flat out will not happen. There is some sort of compatibility issue between the Boom system and IPhone, from what I understand it is limited by iPhone. The function will work I am told with Android.

I would really like to have that function that gives you the option to hit a button and send a reply that you are on the bike and will respond later. The only real option is that you can use Siri to send a text to the caller

as stated it will not work. Apple does not allow auto reply function. It won't work in your car either if it has the ability.

Such a frustrating issue with no hope of a solution VIA an update or patch. What can you do I guess??

Good news with the latest software is you can tell Siri to send a text.

Have you tried enabling in the Siri options "access when locked".......?
