pinball motorcycle
so on my way home from work this morning i was by the rock n roll
mc donalds on ontario, in center lane and a jerk in a van in left lane cuts me off and hits me. bike richoched into another car in right lane. down i went hitting my head and getting a nice 1.5" gash that they stapled shut.
bikes not safely drive able, can only turn bars about 1/2 way either left or right. from what i can see looks like frame may be bent? right side engine guard is bent inwards towards the front of the bike, i fear that the stress involved pushing it forward twisted the frame.
thank god it was only a cut to my head, coulda been much worse!
methinks a helmet is in my future as much as i hate the damn things. i actually have two, ones in the garage on a mannequin head right next to the bike, i look at it every time i get on the bike, then drive away, guess it will be on my head from now on.
chicago fire department paramedics were there in like 2 minutes and were awesome! er staff at northwestern memorial were awesome also! thank you all!!!
wildfire harley in villa park tow unit was there inside an hour!!!! thanks chris!

I have said that to myself before on Fridays rush-hour I said I feel like a pinball. I am not going to say that no more it's never happened to me.

If the tab on the frame that the crash bar is attached to is bent, it most likely will be totalled. Glad you are relatively OK.

i am baffled by the fact that there is no damage to the left side too, as that is where initial contact was unless i just turned out of his way and hit the guy on the right without his making any contact, i truly don't remember. was in and out of consciousness for awhile. the driver on the left was ticketed i know for sure, the policeman told me that in the er. in illinois on a motor vehicle accident report the first vehicle listed is the one who is considered at fault, and he was listed first hence the citation.
