Rushmore Steering Head Adjustment Question

The socket extension info was for "off the wall".

I don't have access to my tools right now to see which one I cut down so I can't say for sure what size allen wrench you need. I THINK it's 5/16 but I can't swear to it.

It's the allen wrench that is two sizes larger than the one that turns with no resistance.

Correct - 1/4", my bad. I knew I had to run out to Sears to get it.

If you think adjusting is a pain, wait till you regrease the steering head bearing. By the way, mine had virtually no grease in it when I did this at about 30,000 miles.

Me too! its not there in the book
