I have the same windshield as the OP but in light tint. Now that I have put a full season of touring on I can say it's the best shield I have run. Works great. Looks great.

The 9 inch FS is about an inch taller than my 10 inch windsplitter for reference. It's because it sits taller on the bike vs swept back like the Windsplitter.

Another quality feature is the clarity. The Windsplitter has a lot of distortion. None at all with the FS wide.

My recommendation is to buy 3 sizes and send back one or two that aren't right for you. You accept that you're paying for return shipping, but at least it's only once each way instead of more.

I spoke with John at great length actually. Great guy who knows his product. His recommendation (10 inch) was based on feedback I provided. However, the information I gave him was based on previous windshields, which are different. The 10 inch was just too tall for my liking. Even though I could comfortably see over it, it just felt like too much plastic in front of me. I had him send me the 9 and an 8 to try out. I was pretty sure the 9 would do it, so I tried that one first. It was just right so I didn't even try the 8.

HBSOLDIER, curious as to your height and pant lenght? I currently have a LRS and it's a lot better than stock (don't remember what height I got) but I like the idea of the the wide shield that freedom offers.

And I'm 6-5 and 210. We run the same 9 inch shield. Ergos are really hard to cipher.

Ordered my FS today. Definitely speak to john before ordering. I was ready to order the 9 inch clear.
After speaking to John I ordered the 8 inch in light grey tint. Very knowledgable and friendly.
