Left Thursday morning for Key West from Raleigh, NC. Water pump went out 100 miles from Savannah, Ga. Savannah HD took me right in, 6 hours later & the new updated pump & plumbing ( and $800 lighter), back on the road. Got Home yesterday at 4:00. Grinding run, but fun. Damnit...didn't quite make 2000 milesin 2.5 days. 1980.4 miles. LOL.

Big..if you spent 6 hrs in the shop on Thursday you must’ve got to Key West real real late Thursday, Friday had to be sleep in rest up day because you had to leave Saturday real early to make it home by 4:00...and that’s not normally a quick run from Key West to Florida City as radar traps can be brutal..How many in your group !! There’s still no place like KEY WEST!!!

There were three of us. We left Savannah HD at 6:30. Rode all night basically (No Traffic LOL) to Homestead (Florida City) hotel at 3:00am. Slept four hours, got up & rode to Key West. Left Key West & headed north. Stopped in Melbourne at 9:00pm to get a decent night of rest. Back on the road at 6:30am to home...4:00pm!
